The perfect child, a mix of Man and Gran. A combination of blood that could successfully rule the known Galaxy with an iron fist. To this end, these people traveled to all corners of space, collecting funds in which to achieve their goals. With this money, they purchased facilities. They purchased supplies. They purchased the most advanced biomedical implements known to humanity. And in the end, they waited. The scientists work for countless years to develop the knowledge for their project. DNA was tested, spliced, destroyed, and then the process was repeated. The maturation chamber was tested again and again for its ability to successfully produce the one true heir. And then, there was the hybrid. It grew slowly, remaining in the chamber while the scientists ensured its survival. It learned by computer, gaining all the knowledge it would need for the eventual conquest. The results were catastrophic. The unknown genes inherent within the child's genetic structure created a hybrid with mental prowess that nobody anticipated. Instead of carrying on the original plan of ruling the galaxy, the hybrid shunned his heritage and destroyed the lab. He killed the scientists and erased the databanks as to prevent duplication of his sadistic creation. In the aftermath, the idealists saw the faults of their past. Instead of focusing on the creation of a single entity, they rebuilt the corporation, made it larger, broader, and overall more secure. Their goal remains the same, but now it is masked by business and infrastructure. Their previous failure is now impossible. The hybrid will be reborn.
