Description:
In the days before the Old Republic disorganization and chaos reigned throughout the galaxy. Fortunes and fame were made and lost; wars won and planets ravaged, and legends born and forgotten. It was in this time that Jedi Master O`lan Tong led a small group of Jedi alongside the Guard in battle on the remote planet of Tatooine. Amidst the barren desert sands, the Jedi Master started a sect devoted to a fighting style he named after the ferocious local Krayt Dragons. The men he led, guardsmen and Jedi alike, soon became known as the Knights of the Guri-n Krayt.
As with all legends, the tale of their fighting prowess disappeared over the centuries as newer legends rose to take its place. The art of this fighting style was lost, and it seemed the Guri-n Krayt would never been seen again. Historians bickered over the tale, as they are prone to do, disregarding it as fantasy made up by moisture farmers who had no true tales of adventure to tell.
A few years ago, a small group of elite warriors rose out of obscurity, slowly building a name for themselves winning battle after battle. Starting in small conflicts, they fought far and wide across the galaxy, until at last they were united in arms against a great force in the deserts of Tatooine, making a valiant stand on the grounds of a long lost temple. More than once, they found themselves saved from the brink of defeat by a fighting zeal that surpassed any they had ever known. Without realizing it, they made subtle changes to their style, until their enemies could no longer hope to stand before them.
The battle won, the warriors searched the ruins, drawn by an unseen force they did not understand. Deep within the catacombs, they stumbled upon ancient recordings, detailing the legacy of Master O`lan Tong's ancient order. There they found the Bukku Tsurugi, the book of the sword. Through it, they learned the techniques of the Knights of Old. Taking on the name of the group who's teachings had influenced them so, the Knights of Guri-n Krayt were reborn from the ashes. |
