Corporate Investment Bond Concludes, Exceeds Expectations
Hacked by: Gilbert Reed, Corporate Sector Authority
Date: Year 17 Day 279 Location Unknown

Maal, Maal Prime City

The Office of the ExO today issued a press release regarding the successful conclusion of a ten-month long investment program aimed at supplying funds for the outlay and construction of infrastructure on the planet Maal located within the Corporate Sector through the sale of infrastructure bonds. In the release, numerous statistics were set forth describing the beginning and ending outlook of the program. Most notably, the program was initially started as a one year (twelve month) program with a projected final investment opportunity of close to 200% value of initial investment, but has since superseded that projection by not only a shorter time frame, but also a higher return rate. End results have shown that asset value in returns are now reaching 244% of initial investment in only ten months.

Corporate Sector Authority, the governing body on the planet Maal, first began issuing bonds on Year 16 Day 354 via the Centrepoint Marketplace and issued the last bond on Year 17 Day 56. In total, the program raised 990 million credits through 25 investors. The funds were then put to use securing necessary resources to begin the construction process and, in return, investors gained deed to ten buildings in priority construction, all of which contain commercial value, have monthly rent paid upon them, and have utilities supplied via government owned and protected utility services.

Built Infrastructure on the planet has allowed for an almost alarmingly large influx of immigration to the Outer Rim, with the latest census reporting over 2.1 billion new immigrants to the planet in the time from onset of the bond issuance. Prior to the program, the planet housed a scant 4 million residents, most of which were scientists and explorers hired on to survey the habitability of the planet. Further design for more housing and other commercial structures suggests that an end total of nearly 10 billion residents may be housed comfortably upon the planet with employment available to any seeking. As well, the planet's main source of employment according to designs in place suggests defense spending and contracting will be no less than 30% of the total jobs market.

With the conclusion of the program, a source within the Office of ExO has described a program that has far exceeded expectations and has further commented on plans for a smaller second round investment program aimed at erecting the remaining designed construction within as little as six months from the start of any such program. According to this source, second round investment is projected to raise a minimum of 600 million credits and have a return on investment close to the actual projected return of the first round of funding. As with the first issuance, most likely issuance of bonds will be accomplished via Centrepoint Marketplace and may be on the market within as little as a week from today.
