WEEMELL SECTOR NODE -- A council of the Zhellic Ecclesiasty’s most senior clerics, legislators and academics has been convened under the joint chairmanship of the Vicar of Risma, Sonus XIII, and the Vicar of Csil, Judex, to revise the body of canon law currently governing the Ecclesiasty and its followers across the galaxy. The meeting, which is to take place in the Most Holy Palace of Csil on Loedorvia II, was ordered by a joint proclamation of the High Synod, and was opened by His Holiness, Grand Vicar Cronus IX.

“In the name of The Thirteen, I open this conclave to those Faithful gathered here in the spirit of Csil to reform our ancient canon law to reflect modern needs. By the grace of Ziysan, the Ecclesiarchy is stronger today than it has been for thousands of years,” said His Holiness to the gathered members of the council.

“Let us, together, remind all descendants of the ancient Zhell that they are stronger together and under the auspices of the Gods, and that the Holy Faith stands with them and all who believe."

The rare gathering of ecclesiastical dignitaries, known formally as the Most Holy Ecumenical Council of Loedorvia, has attracted followers of the Ecclesiasty from across the Galaxy. Key parts of the proceedings are to be broadcast over the HoloNet.

“May we be imbued with knowledge, wisdom and a reverence of The Thirteen as we proceed with this most sacred task,” said the Vicar of Risma, Sonus XIII, in his opening remarks to the Council. “On this day we begin the process of studying our canon law afresh and reformulating it in contemporary terms. However, we shall never forget that the inherent truths of the Faith, the truths which will guide us at this Council, are as old as the stars themselves.”
