Crimson Syndicate HQ, Hiigara North -- Not even two months after the inauguration of Chief of State Orion Chran, the light is falling upon the New Republic’s devious dealings; this time, the citizens are not turning a blind eye. The unrest is growing within the failing government and many notable and established citizens are calling the government out on their corruption, saying enough is enough. Due to the failure of the New Republic who, regularly boast about caring for its citizens first, have had a steady decline in members.

Dimitri Halden, a Wing commander in the New Republic Star-fighter Command, recently joined the Crimson Syndicate after the New Republic’s High Command stripped him of his rank and privileges. In addition to his military duties, Wing Commander Halden led the New Republic’s propagandist art team, was a lead member of the military liaison office, and served as a contributing member in the New Republic Intelligence service. When asked about his decision to leave the New Republic, he stated,: “I have felt uncomfortable with how they treated Jasper Merlyn. We’ve been friends for ages and pilots always fly together. He was the reason I joined NRI to begin with. When Director Hughes ordered us to start gathering intelligence on our allies in the Triumvirate Coalition I thought something was fishy. Following that with the rigged elections, Chief of Military Operations Helix Falks’ mistreatment of officers, and the threats from Director Hughes (who was trying to restrict my freedom of speech with false charges), I realized it was time to get out and fight this corruption with my brothers."

With Haldens’ immediate defection, The Syndicate is proud to mention that Dimitri has taken the position of Thane of Intelligence. Giving the Syndicate, many Intelligence files on the New Republic, Its members and its ‘behind the scenes’ dealings with criminal organisations such as the Zann Consortium amongst many more, once again proving to the galaxy that the New Republic is not as incorruptible and faultless as they make themselves out to be.

Wing commander Halden wasn’t the only officer to abandon the New Republic Armed Forces due to Helix Falks. High Marshal of Star-fighter Command, Mami Ogawa, a long time rival of Jasper Merlyn, joined the Crimson Syndicate. While Marshal Ogawa did not agree with Jasper politically, and often publicly challenged him, she decided to join forces with him to combat the corruption within the galactic alliance. During a ceremonial meeting and handshake between the two, Ogawa stated, “I previously did not think there was any corruption, but Adam [Hughes] and Helix [Falks] do as they please without any consequences.” Ogawa’s decision to leave reflected her statement, her joining the Crimson Syndicate following shortly after Chief of State Orion Chran demoted and removed her from the Advisory Council and High Command for disagreeing with Falks.

Another leader of the exodus was Mortis Eisenfaust, longtime friend and peer of Jasper Merlyn. A former employee of Republic Medical, Captain of the New Republic Armed Forces, Knight Captain in the Knights of the Republic, Dean of Recruitment, and an artistic associate of Dimitri Halden, Mortis found his time was better invested challenging the degeneracy of the New Republic. He was not available for comment.

With high esteemed, long time citizens of the Republic leaving their shackles, the Crimson Syndicate Aesir of the Academy and Chief Recruitment Liaison, Naz Pax, was questioned about the people in the Crimson Syndicate. He responded that, “Dimitri, Mami and Mortis are some of the more popular figures from the New Republic to join our ranks, but they certainly are not all. Zarvo the Hutt also defected to us from the New Republic with several others. How many people will join us? I cannot say; judging by the state of things thus far, it’s going to be a lot.”

Leader Jasper Merlyn was also questioned about the mass defection of New Republic citizens, to the Crimson Syndicate. He replied with the statement, “It is never easy to leave one’s home. It was difficult for me to leave the New Republic, despite all the atrocities they committed against me and my family. So I understand the difficulty in the transition from the New Republic to us. That is why I am currently talking to several other members who are hesitant about leaving the New Republic and assuring them that with the collaboration of all the intelligence we can offer them a secure and safe home. While it pleases me that the citizenry of the New Republic are waking up to the devious actions of their leaders, and understanding the freedoms they thought they had simply do not exist, it saddens me to see the Republic deteriorating so rapidly. In Chran’s campaign, he pledged to bridge the people together, to unite them, to bring them a better future, however, all he has delivered so far, is chaos, corruption, discontent, and hostility. His idea of pacifying unrest is the same iron fist he used as High General. ‘Conform or suffer the consequences’. Crimson Syndicate is, and will continue to be, a home for those rejected, neglected, and abused by the cronyism and corruption of the New Republic and it’s Galactic Alliance puppets. We welcome you all: any GA citizen is a  slave to the tyranny of Adam Hughes and Orion Chran.”
