TION PROPER -- In spite of an arctic squall blowing off the ocean, thousands of Tionese bureaucrats, nobles, and Faithful gathered together as the foundations of the City of Holy Judgement, known as Agia Apófasi in the Tionese tongue, were laid today and consecrated by priests of the Zhellic Ecclesiarchy. Grand Vicar Cronus IX, a Tion Cluster native and the Supreme Pontiff of the Zhellic Faith, was present to offer blessings and to lay the first stone of the sanctuary that will become the new High Fane of Xo. The original High Fane was demolished in the Cluster's first unification over 25,000 years ago under the banner of Xim, founder of the early Tionese empire.

 

Grand Vicar Cronus IX addressed the crowds after offering benedictions, "Brothers and sisters, children of the Thirteen, today marks a new dawn for the ancient Hierophants of Xo and the Faith as a whole in this holy city. In time immemorial, Saint Xim destroyed the old High Fane to bring the theocracy of the Hierophants into his empire and to unify the Tion Cluster for the first time in its history. With this High Fane, the adherents of Xo return once more to a unified Tion.  

 

"Beneath the waves of Tion Proper lie the ruins of the ancient Tionese, the cultural legacy of a unique culture that formed the first great human empire, predating even the old Republic and rivaling that polity in its goals. This city is not just a restoration of the Hierophants but a rebirth of Tion itself. Here will be a school, a seminary, to bring the Faith once more to these stars and offer any who desire it a religious education. I have to thank Lady Hegemon Stephanie Barefoot of the Ancient and Honorable Union of the Tion Hegemony, who could not join us today, and Magistrissa Crislyn Anessa of the Cronese House of Waryn for their support in the establishment of a Tionese Ecclesiarch, making this revival being possible."  

 

 

Magistrissa Waryn, Minister of Enlightenment and Lady Commander of the Tionese Second Fleet, also addressed the crowd after Grand Vicar Cronus IX completed his blessings on the crowd.  "It is with an obligation to unity, prosperity, and conservation that the Tion Hegemony welcome our fellow Tionese here today. I am pleased to bear witness to this momentous occasion and am humbled by the prospect of the countless beings the Faith will impact through their station here on Tion Proper.

 

"It is of great consequence the Hegemony and Ecclesiarchy chose this world as host of this new fane. Before the time of Xim and the destruction of the historic High Fane, this cold but inviting world was the ancestral birthplace of our culture and people. And while flooding has forever changed this world, it is with this premise in mind that we welcomed His Holiness to this world. Let Tion Proper again be the epicenter of an ideal spreading across the worlds of the Greater Tion Cluster.

With the public addresses completed, both Magistrissa Waryn and Grand Vicar Cronus IX joined the various construction laborers and offered them well wishes and kind words while Zhellic priests offered sacraments to any attendees who wished to accept the Faith.
