GSL Shockball changes ownership and will hit harder than ever
Posted by: Nat`rhon L`uukh, Koensayr Manufacturing
Date: Year 20 Day 30 Onboard the Modular Taskforce Cruiser KM Leo Nova in system Hypori (342, -240).

A couple months ago, the Human GSL Commissioner Tholme So announced his intentions to sell ownership of the Galactic Shockball League. Since then, rumors spread all over the galaxy, giving rise to a mix of anticipation and disappointing feelings among athletes and supporters.
An agreement was reached between Mr. So and an individual who opted to remain anonymous until he had a clear and broad view of the many facets of the sport brought forth by Tholme So. During this period of silent analysis, some shockballers decided to quit their careers, while others waited patiently – or anxiously – to know more about those promised changes.
In the background, continuous and intensive exchange of information was being made between the new and old owner. Eventually, they found some weak spots but also several strong points. It was soon clear that managing a whole sport league could not be a one-man job. A restructuring of the administrative area, as well as a team of professional figures, were necessary.
Today, Mr. So and the Galactic Shockball League are proud to introduce you to the person who will take shockball to higher levels: the Ithorian Natrhon Luukh.

The veterans of this sport will surely remember Mr. Luukh and his Colonial Shockball League. Some of them even consider him the father of this sport. CSL Shockball set the quality standards that influenced shockball in general and the Galactic Shockball League as well. Just a few dozen players can boast to have won the Shockball Glove trophy, while hundreds of them surely remember those hard-fought matches. A few of them tried to carry on the sport, and many shockball versions are now being played in this galaxy.

However, Natrhon Luukh is not going to work alone. A team of professionals is needed to accomplish the Ithorian’s ambitious plans. At present, Tholme So will continue to contribute from the sidelines, while the Togruta Pamir Bidou will be the League Marshal, acting as filter between the management and the team owners and players.
When interviewed about the new course for shockball, League Marshal Bidou explained that the GSL training programs and career advancements for athletes will be preserved. Significant changes will be made to other aspects such as stadia, hireable athletes, and new forthcoming administrative requirements.

The new season is scheduled to start around Year 20 Day 125. The usual Holocomm and communication channels are available to reach Pamir Bidou for more information.
The League is also looking to expand its staff, and applications for a position in the League are open. After months of dark clouds, the future for galactic sports shines brighter than ever.
