| Many people know the name Pozz Umgee. Many people know he crossed Teniel Djo. They must know what happens next. (Hacked by Teniel Djo on Year 10 Day 296) |
Two months ago, while Eidola was engaging Imperial cretins in the Battle of Agrilat, they made the mistake of hiring mercenaries to provide security for some of their building crews. However, as Teniel Djo descended to the war-ravaged surface of the planet along with novice mercenary Luna Vox, their mercenary cover fled the scene, citing the massive Imperial presence as too intimidating for them to continue their promised job.
A bounty was immediately put out on the capture of Pozz Umgee, alive if possible, and within weeks he was located trying to gain entrance to a locked factory on Anzat wherein he had purchased a ship. Gabriel Castile was waiting for him inside the factory, and Umgee was quickly made a prisoner.
The Galactic News has been unable to determine his whereabouts for the past month, and some had surmised that he had likely been killed as part of a vengeance ritual by his Eidola captors. However, earlier this week footage of him surfaced, showing him working as part of a chain-gang of slaves in Eidola-controlled Tapani territory.
Drew Peacock, the leader of the pirates' slave-handling outfit Mytaranor Slaving Corporation, confirmed to us this morning that Umgee had spent the past month largely in a labour camp in the Outer Rim where he was stripped of his self-worth and taught that his only chance of salvation lay in completing his one-year sentence to hard labour by the pirates. If he survives the year pressganged into the Eidola Pirates, he will be given the choice to join them as a full partner in piracy, or go about his own free way.
Although barbaric, some have lauded the Eidola Pirates for refusing to bow to the primitive practice of simply executing prisoners, and instead giving them a chance to earn their freedom through ransoms or hard labour. According to privateers close to Teniel Djo, she has introduced a permanent plan whereby Eidola will execute very few of its prisoners in the future, and will instead seek to return them safely in exchange for a hefty boon. |
