A report materializes from the Falleen News Network press pool traveling with the Regent of the Falleen Crown. Naboo System, Orus - Lord Tigris Ninx, Regent of the Falleen Crown and servant of King Bisz Aldaris, has been named Regent and Steward of the Imperial Throne of the Chalcedon Dominion. All indications suggest his naming has had an immediate impact on Chalcedon leadership following the departure of Emperor Uther Von Kaldreon for reasons unknown. Ninx is aboard a Mon Calamari warship in the Naboo System observing Falleen Navy efforts to root out illicit Imperial and Black Sun presence. He was awoken during third watch to answer a secure communique. The substance of the message was not reported, but a representative of the Regent said that no emergency exists. "A need arose and an arrangement between two allies, two close friends, was worked out. Lord Ninx is honored and humbled to answer this high calling from the Emperor on behalf of the Federation," said the representative. "He does not view it as recognition of his own abilities, but rather as an affirmation of Falleen goodwill and the trust built between member factions of the Galactic Alliance." Ninx, the first Secretary-General of the Galactic Alliance, will be leaving that post in the coming days as his term of office ends. The Falleen Federation and Chalcedon Dominion have celebrated a close relationship in the past. Both are members of the Galactic Alliance, the anti-Imperial group which boasts a broad membership and pro-Republic goals. It is common knowledge that as part of its program, the Alliance has helped cultivate an economic and trade relationship between the two governments. The transfer of top leadership suggests the relationship has taken on a new dimension. However, when asked, the Regent’s representative said, "Chalcedon is not a part of the Federation's Protected Dominion," referring to the Falleen King's rule over both the Federation and the Tresario Star Kingdom. He characterized the arrangement as a "stewardship of trust" and "long-term, but ultimately temporary." |
