Outnumbered 1,467-1, Eidola holds off Imperial Remnant invasion, captures leader (Hacked by Teniel Djo on Year 10 Day 317)
The beleaguered colony on the mid-rim planet of Iqobal was relatively peaceful, consisting of only three small houses and a power generator, it was the Eidola Pirate's rehabilitative planet where captured prisoners were allowed to live and work off their debts to the criminal group pending release. It was on this planet that Pozz Umgee had been held, not quite under arrest, but forbidden to leave. It was to this planet that the Imperial Remnant brought the entire might of its fleet. It was on this planet, that the struggling former superpower was brought to its knees by peasants and insurgents. It was here, that their leader was captured.

The plan was hatched by Vice Admiral Rob Ramos, who believed that Eidola would be simply overwhelmed within 24 hours of an Imperial Remnant taskforce landing on the planet and building a tiny Imperial garrison consisting of only 4 Personal Residences. However, in the failing government, bureaucracy still reigns supreme and other prominent officers such as Gunther Rall, Tremec Basic, Arbelleson Saala and Euna Miriel brought forward demands that their units also be given priority in the battle. The Remnant acquiesced, and the new mission plan saw construction of nearly 50 hotels and eight highrises, as they envisioned their ground troops running around the surface capturing any wayward members of Eidola. It was to be a triumphant coup for the struggling Imperial Remnant, the eventual propaganda victory needed to reassure the galaxy that the Empire could still operate in the midrim. History may instead remember it as the final misstep that led to the dissolution of the Imperial Remnant entirely.

The Victory Star Destroyer Cerberus was parked one coordinate outside the system, along with two BFF Bulk Freighters, two Gallofree material haulers and awaiting the moment to strike. However, the arrival of two Imperial-class Star Destroyers was sloppily executed and noticed by black market satellites in the area. The Eidola Pirates immediately activated hidden sleeper cells in the Remnant to get ahold of the battle plans drawn up and mailed to each pilot in the operation. There were 14 Imperial Remnant fighter divisions active on the planet, as well as the three Star Destroyers and four freighter-haulers, a total of 21 active units, commanding nearly 8,000 support troops.

Pozz Umgee, loyal to his Eidola captors, took to the mists of the planet with macrobinoculars, and identified the most active among the pilots of the Imperial fighters now circling like vultures overhead. The names of Icarus Carinae, K'Crydon Katana, Mark Scott, Galak Reelo, Aluan Geli, Elvira Falston, Valus Dorain, Wyatt Trippett and Hensut Mu were all transmitted to Eidola to assist in hunting them down in the months after the battle.

Meanwhile, Eidola was scrambling their efforts to bring immediate military strength to the beleagured planet while arranging materiel shipments for the long protracted battle that doubtless lay ahead. Teniel Djo and Pozz Umgee kept the invasion at bay, killing nearly 300 troops in the opening day of battle as the former used her sniper rifle and the latter used Iqobal Cocktails made from the plentiful gases found on the planet. Help finally arrived on Day 290, as materiel provided from sources including the House of De Chatillon were transformed into makeshift military structures.

The battle on the ground was quickly becoming a bloodbath; hidden amidst construction sites, the Eidola defenders killed more than 7,000 Imperial Remnant troops; their bodies blown apart by the explosive Iqobal cocktails, or in many cases, showing lightsaber wounds suggesting Eidola had brought some of their anarchaic Jedi to bear in the latter stages of the battle. Witnesses reported at least 3 of the force-wielding criminals were spotted moving amidst the carnage.

With the Imperial position becoming untenable, the Remnant called out to its nationalised corporations for relief - putting Deputy Director of Imperial Industry, Inwe Videntius, in charge of a second wave of builders and Imperial pilots to try and stave off disaster. However, the troop surge did not work as intended, and Videntius was in fact captured by Eidola Pirates as she exited the Bayonet warship brought in to support the three failing Star Destroyers.

The mission in shambles, the Imperial Remnant crept away with its tail between its legs, withdrawing 24 active unit commanders from the planet along with the few troops who had survived the onslaught of pirate aggressiveness. A staggering bounty was paid for the safe release of Inwe Ventidius, and the Remnant nursed its wounds and returned to their ever-shrinking territory, hoping this humiliating defeat was not a harbinger of worse to come...
