Seren Acrux	{warning Newbie question} Is the market section up and running? I have a small amount of credits but nothing to spend them on. I have come across reference to various locations for markets but someone told me that they aren't functioning yet? How can I RP effectively if I can't get the kit I need is my problem... Syn	You're unlikely to need anything but a ship, which your faction should provide you with, since combat isn't out yet. The NPC Market is available from the Market link at your right menu; you need to be in a Commerce Centre facility or on board a trading station to purchase from it. There is a listing of open Commerce Centres and trading stations in the Traders Lounge forum on the RP Centre. On this market you send money to NPCs and the item is immediately made over to you. There are also two major private markets, run by players -- Centrepoint Market and the GM. These function more like eBay, where a player posts a listing and you can purchase it, but need to conduct the trade manually with that player outside of the market. There is also a risk of players stealing from you, as a result, but that remains, nonetheless, how most commerce takes place. However, if you are brand new, it is unlikely you will be able to afford very much. It is advisable that you join a faction and earn salary first until you've saved enough to purchase something worthwhile. ____________
