Roy Starkiller	According to the Droids Rule page there are 3 states a droid can be in: - deactivated - activated and unsupervised - activated and supervised Now, as I understand it, when in that 3rd state, droids actually will augment their owners...+1 diplomacy for a 3PO droid user, +1 maneuverability for a fighter with an astromech (which is gone thank goodness). The rules page calls this: Special Function Skills. As I am looking at these limited-time CP droids, I see information about their skills. My question: Do these droids...actually do any of the game droids, have these Special Function Skills anymore?

Malakar Knossos	well the way I see it, according to the projects page the droids project is already 50% finished. Between that and the fact that the development team felt confident enough to release new cp droids indicates to me that droids will probably be functional and capable of doing something useful in the next year, possibly in the next 6 months. On the other hand, almost none of the CP droids are actually more skilled then the ones the robot production factions produce, except for the one droid with the robot repair skill which is the least likely to be useful for some time yet. They are cheap enough though that it's not going to hurt you to buy one or two. Personally I'm going to buy a WA-7 when I get to surface and hope I'm right about droid functionality being the next major project completed next to more npc functionality in the near future. ____________ Move along, nothing to see here landwalker.

Roy Starkiller	I have no doubt they'll be usable in the future. My question was more along the lines of what their functionality will be, even if it isn't working now. I was also thinking about a WA-7, and I can see where I might like the SP-4 and the BD-3000 given the skills they possess. However, if they aren't going to be capable of augmenting my own skills (which are higher than their's already), it wouldn't make much sense.

Hal Breden	They will do what the other droids do when implemented. If a droid augments your skills, then they will augment your skills. If droids are not useful unless they have higher skills than you, then these new CP droids probably won't be too useful to many people. So the choices you make based on their skills is the same as choosing any other droid for its skills.
