Okay, I understand that space/star ships can no longer be modified for faster hyperdrive, though I hear that once was the case.

My question is this: Is there any way to modify OTHER aspects of ships? I've noticed that some ships in the commerce section have a better sensor range than others of the same type. The particular ships I noticed were bought with CPs.

Can one modify ships with CPs? Or is it possible with credits? Or is it possible at all?

(YEah, I'm kinda new, but I'm darned if I can find the answer anywhere I already know how to look.)

Some ships with previous modifications circulate through the market from time to time. But no, there are no mods being done anymore.
