Richard Jasper	Ive read the Mining rules and have a question - Can a Freelancer or a character not in a Mining Faction search and find deposits,build a mine, extract deposits etc.(if course if the character has the equipment and credits)?Or without the help of someone from Mining Factions?

Yes, Freelancers can prospect for raw materials, as can anyone in an Fk-7 Airspeeder, or Groundhog who is on a planets surface, the fee is about 10,500 credits per square, and is charged to the speeders owner 2. Mines Can only be built by mining factions 3. Once built they can be made over to other factions/characters but to extract raw materials a mining faction must manage them. ____________

Hal Breden	No, Arjuna. A mine MUST be owned by a faction for it to extract. It doesn't matter WHAT kind of faction, but it must be a faction.
