Accounts are usually activated/declined within 12-24 hours. If you haven't gotten an email after 24 hours, check your spam folder first (those emails tend to get moved there). If you still can't find it, try using the Lost Password feature on the login page. If it tells you that you entered an invalid email, your account was declined and you can try signing up again, if not you should get a new password in you email.
