I have a problem. I have a knife in my inventory, but I can't seem to equip it. Do I not have a certain skill or something, or am I just doing something wrong?

Go to Position/Items, click the knife and after that "Equip".

It's not enough to be in your inventory, you also need to be on the same map square/same room as the knife to be able to equip it.

Inventory is not necessarily something that you carry with you.
