I am thinking of playing. Is there anyone that would like to chat with me about SWC. I am a huge star wars fan. You can reach me at jad61gbp@hotmail.com
It is probably easier to just ask your questions on the forums. If you really prefer hearing from only one person rather than receiving help from anyone willing to offer it, you can mail techsupport@swcombine.com. If you prefer real-time help, the IRC help channel information can be found in a sticky thread in each of the Problem Centre forums.
I have played other online games with many more members. Why do you only have 2843? Has it always been a small amount of members? I am in The Mafia Boss right now and they have almost 1 million. That is way to many. Do you feel this online game is dying? It has been on for many years? I would love to play but I don't want to get in to a new online game that is dying.
Personally I don't consider SWC as having a "small" amount of members. For a niche game for Star Wars/sci-fi fans, 2800 members is an awful lot; moreso than any other Star Wars RPG I've been in, and I've been in some of the mos popular.
SWC has been on for... 9 years, I think it is now? Dying? No! It's still in development - if an online game that is still being developed can hold nearly three thousand members, I would hardly call it "dying".
thank you for your opiinion. I Appreciate your straight fowardness. Do all of you feel the same way? If so I will join. I am very drawn to this game. Thanks
The Combine is definitely not dying - the main issue is that it is not yet complete, so it has not had a chance to draw in and maintain a sizable player base. While production, construction, recycling, mining, and such have been implemented over the past few years, combat is not yet complete, and that is the major drawback for many who join looking to dive right in. If you are looking for a fast-paced finished product, this is not the place for you. There will be no reset, however, so if you have patience and want a bit of a headstart as well as an initial idea of how things will be progressing, there is no reason not to join. It will always be free of charge.
