Unfortunately when I wrote down "K'ale Argile" as the name I wanted to register, it was misinterpreted as "Kale Argille". I sent a reply to my confirmation email requesting a name change as I had given out my combine name as "K'ale" to a few people and did not want to lose contact. My reply came back stating that no apostrophes were prohibited in-game.
I replyed with this link...
http://rules.swcombine.com/?Character_Creation
...and pointed out that the page stated:
Forbidden: " $ % = / * _ + .0 1 2 ... 9 or whatever
Allowed: the blank space, ' and - are allowed: Luke Night, R'ad Boy, Peter-Notting Hill
Still, the reply came that apostrophes were not allowed. Chances are I'm reading the site wrong and apostrophes really are not allowed. However if they are, and the name cannot be changed, I'd like to just forfeit my bonus for signing up at the convention and create a new character. How long does it take after deleting a character before you are allowed to make a new one on the same IP address? I know security is tight and I don't want my deletion and re-subscription looking suspicious.
Okay, let me see if I can clear this one up for you. Apostrophes are not against the rules, but they cannot be used due to the way the site interprets them and the way they are used in HTML. I know of several people who have substituted the ` symbol instead (the one to the left of the 1 key, just below the Esc key), but I suppose that won't really solve your problem.
If you would really like the name changed to include the ` character, it should be possible, but characters are not deleted on request. Characters are only deleted after 9 months of inactivity at level 1, to clear out accounts where people registered and then basically never came back.

"May the Grace of Ara go with you, and His Vengeance be wrought upon your enemies."
Thank you for clearing that up. I suppose I'll make due with the name, that should not be a problem. It sure seems like a great game and I'll get used to it.
So you know, those guys promoting it at dragon con did a great job! I went in and read, "free online Star Wars RPG" and immediately assumed it was a card game and would have left had my brother not said, "hold on a minute let's just see what they say". needless to say I was sold.
I come from SWG and have been playing that since it came out. I had no idea this game existed. This is exactly what I had hoped SWG would be. A REAL Star Wars experience. Sure, I've not played it yet but if what I've heard was accurate it's going to be great. Thanks again for the info, gonna go finish up filling out my character biography now, heh heh. Thanks again.
I could have sworn that I already answered this question via e-mail. I can't imagine why people seem to think they will receive different answers by asking elsewhere. *strokes chin*
