To share sensors with a ship, a friendly player character needs to be piloting it.

My question is; What are the conditions for sharing sensors with a satellite you own or a friendly one?

You have to have the owner or the person you want to be able to use them on your IFF list as friendly in order for them to see. It's why you can 'see' what your faction's sats 'see'. Adding someone to that IFF list should do the same thing.
