Krote Kalmar	4/ Restricted Facilities: some facilities require that they be assigned to a faction of a certain type to earn an income. Banking ATM Bank Religious Chapel Church Temple Cathedral Medical Hospital Trading Casino Transport & Government Starport When it says "assigned to a faction" does it mean the facility has to be owned by that particuler faction, or does it mean the facility has to have the right type of faction set as it's operator and manager? ____________

Hal Breden	Lance is not wrong. Talon is wrong> The type of faction in question must be assigned as Manager - the only way you can assign a facility to a faction. Anyone can then be assigned as Operator. Therefore it is important that you 1) speak to the faction before assigning it to them, so that you can agree a contract for management, and 2) trust the faction in question to send you the money at the end of the month. Talon Xor	That...makes no sense. I have Person A assigned as operator of my Facility A, whom assumes the position (from a semi-RP point of view) as the operator/accountant/whatever you want to call them. Then I want an operator/account/etc for my Facility B (which happens to require a faction to be assigned to to make income). Wouldn't it make sense to assign Faction A as operator of the Facility B in order for it to make income? Why would I ever assign them as manager? Faction A is just taking Person A's position...so why would I have to now assign Faction A as manager, and not operator? Could someone explain this?

Phryss	Practically, you assign them as manager because that is the way it is coded. It serves to give a raison d'etre to those faction types. In terms of realism, a faction entity cannot operate a facility, only a person can. You are assigning the facility to an appropriate faction to manage the facility for you. They, realistically, would then have one of their specialists operate the facility. ____________ *I dare you to make less sense.* Are you a newbie, or do you have access to newbies?

Hal Breden	Because the idea is to make those types of faction more useful, and give them an actual role. If you want to mine, you need a Mining faction assigned as Manager. If you want to provide Banking services, you need a Banking faction assigned as Manager. The person actually then RUNNING the bank (the operator) can be anyone. But you can't run a bank without having, well, a bank. Krote Kalmar	The only problem i see is when it comes to Religion Factions. The way it is set up it is near imposisble for a Non-faction Religion it exiest. ____________

Lance Hawke	It can exist, just don't expect any money from your religious facilities that religious factions would have to build for you....yeah, you're right. I believe that's the idea of having to become a faction in the first place.
