I got this from the leader of GalMart: Year 8 Day 358, 19:25 : Message from Han Daragon
Greetings, as stated on our terms of service, ITEMS WILL BE MADE OVER ONCE THE STAR WARS COMBINE ADMINS RUN THE NEW ITEM SCRIPT, thanks for your understanding.
How long will it be before these items are made over to me?
Anyone who's ever bought from GalMart is in that predicament. It's stated very clearly on GalMart's website, right on the home page, that they don't make over items. But they aren't allowed to trace you like that if I recall correctly.
Anyone who's bought any items at all is in that predicament.. A lot of producers don't bother making things over, or do so very very belatedly. I own several hundred items that are in various factions' inventories. It doesn't really matter unless you spend all of your time outside of a ship since nobody can board your ship anyway.
Just a hint, though - name all of your items "MAKE OVER TO YOUR_HANDLE" and the faction that owns it may go through its inventory sometime and do so. Worked for some of the items I bought off GalMart since they were still owned by the original producer. Other than that, nothing to do but be patient.
The vast majority of items sold through GalMart were never transferred from the producer to GalMart db inventory. Some of those producers have chosen to go through and try to find the owners for db transfer, some have not.
I've talked to Kyle many times about the scripts, as have others. As I understand it, the biggest issue is with items stored inside other items. Not to mention the sheer quantity of items.
If you're worried about being 'tracked', I can assure you nobody from GalMart would do so. Aside from the fact that doing so is a bug exploit, and has been explicitly stated to be a bannable offense by admins, it would be sheer stupidity from a business standpoint. Besides, every time I've even tried to access GalMart's inventory in the vain hope of transferring some items to clean up the clutter, it crashes my computer. :)
