If a faction changes to a government, does it lose it's data cards? would a production faction still be able to produce factories? Would a religious faction still be able to build temples?
Does a faction lose it's special percs when it becoems a gov? eg. woud an information faction still get a discount when makig GNS posts, can a mining faction still mine etc (I think I already know the answer, but I'd just like to know for sure.)

Might be nice to have different types of government, ala Civilisation: Despotism, Monarchy, Democracy, Fundamentalism. Each type could have different options and advantages.
Though I fear this will get slapped with KISS very quickly.

It'd definately be a nice option though. Balance them out with appropriate pros and cons...

The RA... Not sure what they'd be classified as (military state maybe?), but once they go New Republic, they'd be forced to go Democracy or Republic.
Though they might be difficult to program, I think it'd be worth it in the long run. Especially once skills like diplomacy and deceit get programmed in.
And maybe Cam, with his new found ASimness will be able to lay the smack down on groups that don't follow their set paths? An IC Admin would be a nice addition to SWC.
