How can someone, who doesn't own an item i have look at it without having it assigned to him???

If the item is at his location, he can to to the position page, then click "items".
There the item will appear. That's the only way to view items that aren't assigned to you.

I think you just click on the item after scanning the person holding it, worked for me.
