Noticed the locked thread about this. and i guess i was one of the many people who wasn't around and didn't get the chance to get either one as i did not know they were available, i was just wondering if they would ever be released again and would the whole combine be told via the simnews if this was to happen, that way every could have the chance to buy either or both instead of just those who happen to have IRC and be online at the time.

You could ask an irc whore to let you know, if they're available, or a faction leader or something. But I don't feel it's necessary to create a new SimNews each time.

We may end up making them more expensive, and just leaving them constantly available, in the near future :)

its a real shame that there are no real announcement when they are available, especially for us people that don´t have the possibility to lurk around on IRC all time :/

Trouble is balancing "flooding the simnews" with "letting as many people know as possible" - I could make a thread in some forum?

I don´t think it would be flooding if you make a simnews once and awhile about it. It would also mean that more people will actually see when they will be available and can arrange for getting online in time to buy some which would probarbly lower the number of people asking for it again.

If it was a fairly regular thing that these would be available for a short amount of time every so often then it would make sense to make a thread somewhere where everyone could know where it is, and in that thread not only announce when things are available but also mention when they are being planned on making them available. Though if it is not going to be that regular then it would not be too bad to make a simnews each time. Especially when you look at some of the things tha are being posted on it now, i mean do we really need to be told each time the deathmatch is moving on? Could people not just check each week if they really care?
