I've IRC'ed a lot, but suddenly I got this message:

I haven't changed any setting or whatever. I did as I always do.
I use Trillian or Chatzilla, both worked fine until one day...
That is likely a problem with your internet connection lagging out. You might see if you can connect to other IRC networks, checking to see that the program is allowed/ports are open in whatever firewalls you have up, or even contacting your ISP if it is a persistent problem.
