Syn	Most people just end up using ships, at which point it only takes a few minutes. But there isn't much to do on the ground anyhow, so once your faction fetches you and transports you to your ship, you probably won't spend much time on the surface anymore. ____________

Izgit Mazarit	Prospecting can also be done from atmo, which has a greatly reduced square-to-square traveling time. ____________ May the shade always shelter.

Orion Mcphee	This may be off the original topic slightly, but does pertain to one of the most frequent speeder tasks and surface movement. Prospecting from atmosphere works from an FK-7 but not a Groundhog. Since the Groundhog has 40 mining sensors an FK-7 only has 10. So a squadron of FK-7's is ok for an initial scan, but for an exacting deep scan we use Groundhogs with our engineer who has the highest computer ops skill. ____________ *Warning this is strictly Orions McPhees Opinion, it may or may not have any bearing on events true or imagined*
