I have assigned an experienced player as operator/manager of a powergen with full capacity remaining. For some reason he cannot power up my block of flats.

Any ideas?

I am not in any position to be making any informed suggestions, but being a little more specifc about what this "experienced player" has tried to do, and where exactly the problem occured during the process might help.

Anyone up for a whack at this one?

Once in the building control room he hit action, then power and got this message;

"You do not have permission to do that"

We have tried him as operator and manager of the powergen, I even made it over to him at one point out of desperation.

I have reported it now as a bug. He is still standing by at the powergen and we are will to try anything.

Yes, this does appear to be a bug at the moment; a number of others have reported experiencing the same problem. Hopefully one of the developers will be able to take care of the bug report shortly.

It's been bugbased (in fact multiple times).

I have the same problems. Sitting in a city full of unpowered new factories :/

We really can't provide any updates here as the developers generally do not visit this forum and instead work directly out of the bug base. Last I checked the bug was assigned, so you could contact the individual to whom it is currently assigned to check on his progress.
