1. Any idea how long it normally take for new join requests to be reviewed?
2. The status page says that even though the page has yet to be approved, credits for displays of the exchange should accumulate. Currently the numbers remain at zero. Is this a problem, or possibly due to the fact that my request has not be reviewed?
3. Though having my banner seen is most important, the CPs will be nice as well. Are the awarded as soon as the join request is approved?
Thanks,

The cp's are alloted after you send the link/email "Report Joining the Banner Exchange" listed on the Support the Combine cp page. At least that's the way it worked for my Top Site joining. It took a couple weeks. I didn't send until I was approved.
As far as how long it takes to get approved for BannerX. Not sure. The Top Site approval came within two weeks, but I too have been waiting for Banner Exchange approval for at least that long.
Re. Clicks - You should be seeing clicks on the Banner Exchange banners from your site. While my other numbers are zero, the clicks from my site are at 49. You should be able to generate these by clicking the SW banners displayed on your site. If not you might want to check the html coding.
Hope this helps a bit.

You question implies we get credit for click-troughs, I thought we also got credit for times the banners are loaded.
“Your account has not yet been approved by the admin. This means your banners will not be in the rotation, however you will still get credits for exposures of member banners on your site.”

I'm pretty much in the same place you are, waiting for authorization. I really can't say for sure what exactly you get since I haven't gotten anything yet except the clicks registering from my site. Perhaps an admin can answer that and give us an idea on when we'll be approved.

I'm still waiting for my Banner Exchange to be approved. It has amassed over 60 clicks from my site. It's been well over a month. I've sent a DM directly to Rhyasan Kronos, used the messaging on the contact us page and have been posting here.
Is there anwhere else or anybody else I can pursue this?
I too volunteer to help with this particular job if needed.

I was in the same boat, massing 150 clicks. I emailed them regarding it (because I needed to change the destination) and they took care of it in a few days. Try that route.
Well if you were at 150 clicks I guess it's "normal" to wait for months. Seems strange when the Topsites approval came within a week.
When you said you emailed "them", who exactly was "them"? Maybe I'm trying the wrong person. I emailed Rhyasan Kronos through dm and through the Contact Us page.
It seems too long to be plain sloth. There seem to be more and more Banner exchange problems showing up in the forum. maybe it's a bug. I'll log one. Possibly someone will pay attention to that. Over a month seems too long to wait without the common courtesy of a response.

Well my Banner Exchange has been approved, however I still havn't received my CP reward. Here's what I did so far:
1. I emailed bannerexchange@swcombine.com 3 times already (see copy below for dates).
2. I emailed Venyom as he's the one who doles out the cp's. Sent message below in bold:

Year 9 Day 259, 5:12 : message from Emm Jlal to: Veynom
I figured I try you before I report a bug.
I've been trying to get my Banner Exchange CP reward for about two months now. I've sent three emails like the one below: One July 26th, one August 4th and one today August 16th. I joined the Banner Exchange on May 23rd and waited two months for acceptance (July 25th). If the two month lag is the norm, I'm about due :)

If it truely is a wait 1/4 of a year to get the promised cp's, I apologize for my impatience. It's just nice to know what's going on.

The tech support team has no interaction with the bx, so we can't really help with it or give reliable information about such things. As you've already gone past the bx email and messaged Veynom, you've already taken the only other step I could suggest.
____________
I dare you to make less sense.
Are you a newbie, or do you have access to newbies?
It's actually not Veynom who deals with those CPs; Veynom only deals with donation CPs.
Banner exchange CPs are usually dealt with by whoever is in charge of the exchange at any given time (supposedly this was most recently Rhyasan Kronos, but the director tends to disappear pretty regularly) or Ranma when he happens to be active. So those are the two best options.
The banner exchange isn't really given much priority, unfortunately.
I appreciate knowing that I've done all I can, so far. I guess I'll have to use the forum to get to the bottom of this.

Yes, I thought that too, however when I had the problem getting the BX approved (two month wait), it wasn't resolved until I logged a bug. Back then I though two months without "without the common courtesy of a response" was too long to be a simple human problem - hence the bug report. I see the same thing here.
It looks like the squeeky wheels get the grease. I logged the bug and immediatly someone had the resposibility to get that bug closed. They got in touch with whoever and said "I need to get this issue closed... whats up", and bingo - my approvel came.
Yes, it's a terrible way to do business but who's to blame?
Maybe its about time the tech team has some interaction with bx. Can you say you are 100% sure that threre is not a technical problem with any of the software used by Rhyasan of Ranma?
If so I will not log a bug. But... that means you've contacted them as only they would know. If so: Could you ask them whats up???? :)
I still think someone needs to look into this and no one else is up to it so I'll do the best I can.
First step gather info:
Is there anyone out there who joined the Banner Exchange since May 23rd and has gotten their CP reward? If so I would appreciate a post with the dates.
I was told by an admin that in situations such as this you could send one email a week without it being considerd spamming. Is that true?
I want to put forth my problem as much as possible, but don't want to "spam".
Is there a hard number of dm's/messages that the admins have labeled as "spam"?
Is there need for a volunteer to help with this position?
Any help at all will be appreciated.
Thanks

“Can you say you are 100% sure that threre is not a technical problem with any of the software used by Rhyasan of Ranma?”
I'm not sure how you define technical problem, but if you define it as a problem that is in any way related to the tech support team, the answer is yes.
There is no technical problem here, it is simply an issue of inactivity, and we have no jurisdiction over that.
No, we can't ask them what's up. If we could, you could do so just as well. We don't see them anywhere that you don't see them; we're not all in the same book club. :P If they don't respond to your e-mails, they won't respond to ours.
Yes, what you were told is true. Weekly reminders are fine if you are not receiving any response.
No, there is no specific number that defines spam; it is a question of common sense and intention. If you received a response and keep mailing the same question repeatedly, that would obviously be spamming.
