Hi
hi
hi
why is it doing this?
how do I delete it ?
and I will like a example of a SpeechLink.
the Instructions are good if you are a computer geek, but I jest a geek ,and I need
example of a SpeechLink tree to help me.
Hmm, its fairly easy to understand once you look at the example. The first number is the first thing the NPC says. Then use - between numbers to indicate choices for the PC to choose. , indicate different branches of the tree. + gives a choice that is randomly chosen from the links given. ie:
1-2-3,2-4,3-5
is
1 is the first thing the NPC says
2 and 3 are the choices given for the PC to choose from
picking 2 makes NPC say 4
pikcing 3 makes NPC say 5
ooc thank you Mikel von Bianchi I was going nuts here ,you see I am making some Missionaries of Krath all over the Galaxy, when iam done there be a lot of Missionaries, then I will make a game up for my Faction called saved the Missionaries
Teagun, you don't need to specify that you're talking OOC anywhere on the Problem Centre. Or the Message Centre for that reason. All these forums are OOC, and you should not be making any IC posts on them. The RPG Centre is the only place with IC forums, and even then it can depend on the forum.
____________
"May the Grace of Ara go with you, and His Vengeance be wrought upon your enemies."
You would not be banned from the Problem Centre if you are here to ask questions.
That is not the same as, for example, posting in the Problem Centre to advertise your faction or recent sales, or something like that. This shouldn't be an issue.
In the post that you made that is being called into question, you specifically mentioned "faction" and explained what you were using the NPCs for that you made this thread about, both of which qualify as easily recognizable OOC remarks. So don't worry about it.
To answer your question on a speechlink tree example
1-2-3-4,2-5,3-6,4-7,5-8,6-9,7-10,8-0,9-0,10-0
1. Hello!
2. Hi!
3. Greetings!
4. Hola!
5. How are you?
6. Are you well?
7. How's it going?
8. I'm Fine.
9. Things are good.
10. Pretty well.
That will result in:
NPC - Hello!
PC - Hi!/Greetings!/Hola!
NPC - How are you?/Are you well?/How's it going?
PC - I'm Fine./Things are good./Pretty well.
and then it ends.
BUT
I have a custm NPC aswell where the speechlink tree wont work and it gives me the same responses as you. I've bugbased it but gotten no reply. You may need to get another Custom NPC to get it to work. (As i have 9 other custom NPCs that have np except that one)

A question about this, any chance trying to use the script could create the problem with the SpeechLink Tree not working properly?
I just bought a custom, tried to use the Change script first, it returned an Invalid NPCID error, then tried the Speechtree and received the Original Posters reported results.
Edit - I just looked at the BugBase and do not see this issue listed. Should it be added? From Mikel's response it looks like this might be a known issue.
