I just bought a ship how do I change its Commander and Pilot?

Go to the ship inventory in the right-hand menu. Check the ship you want to assign, and scroll down to the bottom of the page. In the first drop-down box, choose assign, and in the second choose manager/pilot. Type the person's name in, and hit execute.
