Ok, so I'm trying to set up my first Custom NPC -- from the various Rules pages I gathered I would be able to customise her pretty much completely, so she can be my "wife, husband, brother, sister, mistress, friend, or enemy" etc.
However, I did not realise I would not have a chance to set her race! And now, I come across this thread: http://www.swcombine.com/forum/thread.php?thread=27629&page=0
My question is -- where do we stand currently with Custom NPCs? Will I be able to set my Custom's picture? And her speech tree?
If we can't set their name or race, then they can hardly "represent anyone you wish, such as ... your wife, husband, brother, [or] sister"! If this is the current state of things, could someone modify the Rules pages to reflect this, please.
I think you sould be allowed to pick the race of a custom NPC. What if you made a really good picture for one, but found out it doesn't match the NPCs race? Bah, I just think that if you're paying the 80,000, you should at least be allowed to choose its race. But that's not up to me.
Advertise that you have a H'nemthean custom NPC for sale. Then go to a human homeworld and try purchasing a custom there. On a homeworld, you have a much higher chance of getting a NPC of that race. Some people will buy NPCs of specific races for much the same reasons as you are looking for a specific race.
