I'm new to Combine and I'm finding myself lost in it's expansive forums and rules.
Could somebody tell me where I can view the coordinates of where I am?
(i.e. [31, 63] or [78, 45]) but I'm sure you get the idea

Problem 2: I need to travel to a different system, but the place I'm at now has no ships or NPC ships or anything so I'm wondering how to get from one place to another.

I would refer you to the Guide, linked at the top of every page, which should answer most newbie questions, and includes a "first week" guide which should give you some ideas.
