no specific faction is good or bad

just choose one that really interest you. Be who you want to be

And remember that if you don't like the first faction you pick, you can always leave and try another one.

But try not to rack up a string of factions that you've joined and left quickly, because many people won't hire someone with that kind of reputation.

I would also suggest not just leaving or trying to take a faction ship with you.

If you're leaving, give notice and give a reason.

Using a faction's ship may annoy them to the point of arresting you.
