With the release of DOM (Date of Manufacture) for entities. I decided to look at my first ship's DOM. This is what I found.

I think it may be a bug. Year -1?

Or it's just a REALLY old ship.

I don't understand. Aren't there ships who are deported in the game when it started?
I have for instance 2 cloaks with hull 70 and they are named by vets pre porduction?

Production in its current form is a lot younger than the game itself.

But weren't there ships from the beginning allready?
Like the game started, and the admins put some ships in play to get it started?

Yes, and that is what Ten said - production of ships has not been around as long as the game has. Therefore there will be ships that are around before that date. However in this case, several ships have dates that a) start before the game began (and so all ships should have a positive start date) and b) have dates that are before that ship was even introduced into the game, production or not.
