Archives » Do NPC pilots currently have the same piloting ability droids have?
See topic title. Basically can we currently use npc pilots the same way we use droids to avoid making our ships abort if we enter a docked entity? *Note I haven't actually tried to do this since I only own piloting droids and no pilot npcs*

Yes and no. Yes in that there is an option for fighters and some freighters of the same type to do so, but no in that the NPC itself is not needed at the moment for thos.

Ok so if I where to suggest allowing npc pilots (since they do get paid) to perform the same function as pilot droids would that be against the suggesting crews for ship rule?

No, but you would be denied. NPCs will not have the same functions as droids "just because", as that would mean there would be no need to have both.


I would think that something like this would be temporary and mostly to give some use since you do have to pay pilots. However someone else has posted a similar suggestion that has alot more to it so I'm not going to post a topic of my own.
