This is an NPC under my control, I can't see where to change his name.

I get all of this at the top of the screen when I click edit NPC

Avid, I didn't think it had ever been possible to rename NPCs. Whatever name they were spawned with has always been locked, as far as I was aware. When they were first introduced you could choose the name, yes, and the new CP Customs allow you to choose the name. But renaming? No.

Hal is correct, you cannot rename NPCs. The "Edit" button is for changing the current script for customs; which is disabled for the moment.
