Unless I am mistaken, when a character has been arrested by a faction different than their own and are released, they are given a 24 hour immunity from being arrested again.

Does this timer apply only to the arresting faction that released them or does it apply to all other factions?

If a person is broken out of the arrest by a lock breaker, do they get the 24 hour immunity as well?

The timer should prevent arrest by any faction. Not sure about the freeing.

It's only NPCs that get the immunity.

I thought you only get arrest protection if the attempt fails, not if you're released.

Only if the arrest fails.
Protection is removed upon releasing.
