What does MGLT stand for? And how long does it take a ship moving at 1 MGLT to move a space on the system map? Oh and are the MGLTs acculative like MPH- that is, if a ship moves at 50 MGLTs is it moving twice as fast as the other ship moving at 25 MGLTs? (I'm thinking yes, but after decibels I'm not taking anything for granted).
The term arises from this chart, made during the filming of ROTJ
While people have suggesting crazy-ass things like Micro-Gravity Linear Tolerance or MeGaLighTs per hour...the truth is, nobody has any idea, except perhaps whichever ILM artist drew the original sketch.
