I was wondering how you change the picture of your ship. For, example, i have a YT-1300 and i want to change the image to one of the public customs. Which action in the inventory menu lets you do that?

It's the CP exchange screen, not the inventory menu. Click your CP total, go to Exchange CPs, and look for the section on Custom Images. Public Customs cost 100CPs.
