Was looking at the weapon stats this morning, and noticed they now list 'Min/Max Range' & 'Min/Max Hits', but all the thrown weapons have a max range of 0 and everything has 'Max Hits: 3'
Ah was wondering if that is because the code was added 'across the board' and haven't gotten around to all the weapons yet, or if thrown weapons, like Stun Grenades, are not actually ranged weapons
The 0-3 is just the default thing used to test on dev, the actual ranges will be different. The 2km x 2km thing was mentioned at dev over lunch, in regards to facilities, and there's really no good way of handling it, especially when you consider that a 1x1 statue is really 2 square km. Not bothering to mention a 1x3 tavern or things of that sort.
Thank you Jesfa, that's what ah thought, well, it makes sense now anyway (the numbers being used are just an arbitrary figure so Sin & Clarr can have fun beating each other)
The rules do say it simply through how the speed skill works. Speed 0 is 4km per hour and it moves at such a rate that it makes the squares 2kmx2km. It's just how it is, unless you're going to change how the movement system works.
Removing where it mentioned the spaces being 2x2 km is the equivalent of sweeping dirt under a rug. It's still there.
