I know it aint allowed that registred multi handles join the same faction. But is it allowed for multi handles to start a non faction group where they work together/promote each other?

i hope so....

Um, multis have been able to be in the same faction for over a year now - NFGs are perfectly fine.

You must have messed something up there ... in the past, multis HAD to be in the same faction (or freelance). That was changed a while ago so they are now able to be in different factions.
