Shuji Shizuka	Many ways. Trading, buy an item on CPM or the commerce forums, sell it for a higher price, and keep going. Bounty hunting. Kill someone and see if anyone'll pay for their ear(Note, this is much harder than trading) Err.... Oh, right. Join a faction, earn regular pay, and they'll likley even let you use one of their ships.(I recommend this one for new players) Others may add more, but it's late, so that's all I can think of.
