What is the significance of Empty Space in a system? I have just entered a system with two areas of empty space, one of which is near a planet. Will my ship suffer damage if I enter it? Is it a blackhole?

A black hole will have a gravity well around it, if it doesn't have one it's probably just a part of the system image.

What do you mean by empty space? That its not got a planet in it? That there is no gravwell on it? That your sensors cannot see it?
