When a creature drops a Mysterious Egg... does it contain the creature that dropped it or is it possible it is randomized i.e. an Eye Snatcher can drop a Rancor etc.

The description implies the egg has a random creature inside..

“Their content is unknown and all look identical. It is therefore entirely possible for an egg to contain a simple Eye-snatcher, Bantha or even a Rancor. ”

No, the creature will always be the same creature as the creature from which it came.

I'm guessing the description is that way because if you just so happened to come across a mysterious egg on the ground or someone's ship, you wouldn't know what creature is inside it.
