So.. I noticed that centrepoint station is specifically mentioned in the rules as somewhere that can be used to buy things off the market. No big deal until I find that after flying all the way there and I can't even board it. So why is this even on the market page?
'You must be in Trading Faction owned Commerce Centre, Trading Station or Centrepoint Station to make bids or sell.'
Is this an error in the rules and something I should submit in rules updates or is it meant to mislead?
Yes, but why then advertise for a company in the rules if it's not available for all but a select few to use? Surely those people crewlisted would know they are due to the faction affiliations they have, that's what faction forums and whatnot are for.
Either way it seems like a dick move to list it like that in the rules, even have an open invitation on centrepoints site of:
'Located at 6,0 in the Corellian system, bordering the core lies Centrepoint Space Station. The grey hull comprising of a variety of facilities: docking bays, storage modules, shipyards, academies and a host of civil facilities such as casinos, taverns and hotels. Offering these facilities and more to friends and guests alike.'
And there are plenty of unique ships that don't get listed in the rules pages.. most likely because there's no need to post about them as most people will never see the inside of one. I really don't see how this would be any different, the only purpose is serves atm is to dupe people into making a pointless trip - something the game isn't by any means short on.
It's listed because it's a station type that can be used for market access. Obviously you still need access to it, just like you need access to a trading station or commerce centre. If it were not listed, it would imply that it is not usable for market access by anyone since it's not a trading station or commerce centre..
Uh, I think you will find all the unique ships are listed in the rules pages - you cannot have an entity without it being listed on the rules pages (and before people point out the TARDIS, its Zhao's own ship and not going to be made available to the general public, so although it does have a rules page, it is hidden to non-devs).

Actually the only trading facilities I've ever seen advertised are those that are public access until this one, therefore I'd call this an exception, not something obvious. Ones that are private access are taken care of between the trading faction and the faction(s) using it.
I have no issue at all with it being listed as a trading station. I would think it belongs on the station description itself, and if centrepoint wants to offer market access(or is to whomever already) they can advertise it as such on their site or in the commerce section like all the other companies.
"Being advertised" where? The text you pasted in your first post just lists all of the entity types that grant market access. Centrepoint Station is a station type. It is not a trading station. Centrepoint Space Station is, in fact, a Centrepoint Station, and the Centrepoint Stations all have access to the market (all one, but that's how it is with rare/unique entities).
