Basically you get 2 * RMP/Batch - 5% (fee to Owner if certain conditions met), and then also minus from 2 % to 22 % based on your tradeskill. Reduced by the Condition and debt also if it's a facility with debt.
Trophies are bought by the NPC market and never get bought by another player (unless they're sold as a result of the Death system that auto-lists possessions).
They would sell at [1 - ( .02 + (.2 - .04*Tradeskill) ) ] * 2 *(RMP/Batch)
Lemme just check a recent sale and see if I have it right:
You have received 1,404,000 credits from the Market with the following message:
Sale of the following assets: Thranta Tail Thranta Tail, Falumpaset Fetlock Falumpaset Fetlock, Duracrete Skin Duracrete Skin, Hawkbat Beak Hawkbat Beak, Granite Slug Eye Stalk Granite Slug Eye Stalk, Boma Tusk Boma Tusk, Varactyl Plume Varactyl Plume, Varactyl Plume Varactyl Plume.
Thranta Tail x 1 (75k)
Fetlock x 1 (300k)
Duracrete Skin x 1 (275k)
Hawkbat Beak x 1 (50k)
Gslug Eye stalk x 1 (50k)
Boma Tusk x 1 (50k)
Plume x 2 (500K each)
Batch Quantity for Trophies is 1.
Total RMP = 1,800,000
2* RMP/Batch = 3,600,000
3.6 mil * [1 - ( 0.22 )] = 2,808,000
Okay, so there's an error in the rules. When selling Trophies, you get only RMP/Batch instead of 2*RMP/Batch, but otherwise it checks out.
Kay: Are you sure the selling to market price doesn't apply to everything?
The market isn't a middleman. If I sell a produced ship to the market, I should just get the base price immediately - not what whomever buys it pays, when they buy it.
I'm not sure, no. I've never sold anything to the market that wasn't a trophy. I was under the impression that everything but Trophies doesn't pay the seller until the product is sold. That is mostly based on the only trophies I've ever seen on the market were ones that got there due to the What Happens to Assets upon Death rules.
2*RMP/Batch for a single Y-Wing is 254,860, so you'd get between 249,762 and 198,790 if you get paid immediately per Ben's understanding.
Given most bids go up above whatever the BasePrice is, why would that extra money go into the ether and not to either of the seller or the Trading/Commerce Centre owner?
Only 5 % of the Winning Bid price goes to the Owner of the Trading/Commerce centre as far as I can tell. If the Y-Wing, for example, goes for 1.6mil (CPM Average), 5 % of that is 80,000 credits (or around 30-40 % of the approximate money paid to the Seller initially) and that leaves 1.2 million that doesn't go to anyone at all, plus the usual Distance Fees.
