Archives » Sharing sensors in space?
Year 17 Day 53 19:16
Is there a way to share the sensors of other ships/stations I have in a system?

If I enter a system in a ship, I feel like I should just pickup the sensors of my trade station or cap ship if it's in the same system as me.

Usually that's how it works. When I enter the same system as my station I can see everything in it's vicinity.

Stations and satellites should share sensors with you. Ships I believe only do so if there is an assigned pilot inside the ship (possibly in the cockpit room of that ship) in order to share sensors.

Ships only do so if there's a pilot in them, yeah. I don't know if it has to be a PC pilot or if NPCs will work, however.

Thanks i'll try pilots!

You can also share sensors with other ships by squading. Not much help but if you are on a Sprint and squad up with a YT-510, whether anyone is aboard, it shows as having an "Npc pilot' and you can now use its better sensors.
