The problem with multi accounts is that I could create 10 different accounts and run a faction all by myself. I could pilot all the ships, do all the construction, fight entire battles (when combat comes out), mine materials, and whatever else I needed to do just between myself and my other accounts. There would be no need for me to keep people happy, find things for them to do, or whatever.
I could also create multiple accounts and send all their money to the main account. Or I could keep creating accounts until one of them became a Jedi. Or I could create a new account, steal from somebody, send it to my main account and not take any damage to my reputation.
Or any one of hundreds of other exploits that would be available to people if they could have multiple accounts, not to mention the complete lack of need for interactivity that it would allow.
Now shut up, and don't post about things you haven't put more than 3 seconds of thought into.

Would someone be accepting a suggestion from a... guest? We are ok having 300 some people. If someone has so many accounts he would be spamming everything! Plus it is also so nobody will have an easier chance of being a force sensitive. And anyway, how could we trust you with all those accounts?
In any case, players sharing a connection are permitted to register as multis, but need to be in the same faction. However, a single player may only have a single account. Due to the nature of the Combine and the idea of encouraging interaction between factions and players, that will not change.
