:: Combine Points (CPs) ::
Combine Points (also called CPs) are points you can accumulate Out-of-Character and can then redeem for In-Character assets or credits. Unlike In-Character assets, such as ships or credits, CPs remain in your account forever until they are redeemed, even if your character dies.
- Ways to collect Combine Points -
Clicking on the banners in the "Support the Combine" section once every 24 hours. To access this page, select the Members Menu on the right hand side of any Combine page where your total amount of credits is displayed. Click on that amount, then click [Support the Combine].
Suggesting planet descriptions. If you find a planet that is lacking a description, or has one that ought to be re-written, you can submit a proposal to get the description added/changed. All descriptions need to be written in proper English and should be sent individually to descriptions@swcombine.com with Sector,System,Planet,Coords,Description in the body, and something like "Planet Name, System Coords,Planet Coords" for a subject line.
Working on admin assignments. For example, you may receive a small sum of CPs for helping to beta test new features if you have a dev server account. This normally requires being on the staff of one of the Combine teams.
Designing facility art, or official art for the art team. If your art is used, you get CPs for them. This does not apply to custom images that players may hire you to design.
Moderating or GMing White Scenarios. Anyone can start a new scenario on the White Scenario forum, linked from the forum listing after you select the Forum link at the top of any Combine page. Be sure to understand the format of White Scenarios, and be prepared to invest months on this. GMs receive CPs upon completion of their scenario. Roleplayers who show themselves to be particularly skilled and familiar with White Scenarios may also apply to become a moderator, which results in a monthly CP salary.
Donating $US or Euros. For every 1 $US or €Euro, you will receive 1,000 CPs.
Note: If you don't receive them right away, that is because the SimMaster, Veynom, distributes them manually after he confirms that your cash has been received. This can take anywhere between a few days to a week.

CPs --> Credits
At any time you can use this page to convert your CPs into credits. The ratio of exchange is 1 CP for 5 credits. Due to inflation in the game, and the ever rising cost of assets, this method of exchange is not recommended by maximum return. Exchanging for an item that you can sell is a better option.
CPs --> Custom Images
At anytime you can purchase custom images for your various inventory items. The cost depends on whether they are private (500 CPs) or existing ones in the database that differ from the default image (100 CPs). Custom images do not increase the value or stats of your assets, but rather allow you to customize your possessions.
A custom image remains applied to the item for as long as the image is properly hosted at the location from which you submitted it. A member of the Art Team will periodically remove any custom images that display as 404 errors or broken images. If this happens, contact the Art Team (art@swcombine.com) for assistance.
CPs --> Custom Items
At any time you can purchase custom items with your CPs from the exchange page. Custom Items are for roleplaying purposes only. They can not be usable in any way, and items that exist in the Combine or have the function of an existing Combine asset, such as a weapon or armor, can not be requested. Images must be 100x100 pixels and must have a .jpg, .gif or .png extension. They must also be in the combine frame, which can be found in the Public Art forum in the Message Centre.
Custom Items are reviewed by Art Team before they are accepted. They cost 1,000 CPs apiece.
Enter the name, image location, description, and possible equippable locations, then press Exchange. When your item is approved, you will get an event notifying you. If the item is not approved, you will get no event, and no CPs will be deducted.
CPs --> Ships and Vehicles
To exchange CPs for ships or vehicles you must be in a city or on the surface of a planet. You must not be in a ship, vehicle, or facility. This section only becomes available when you are on the ground. The entire list of possible exchanges will be listed, with entries displayed in a red font if you lack sufficient CPs for that item.
Different ships/vehicles are worth different amounts of credits. These prices rise and fall with inflation, so it helps to research this or ask other traders before exchanging your CPs for a ship/vehicle if your goal is to make some money by selling it.
