Users may interactively edit the SWC CSS stylesheet (really, they append their overriding changes in a document that is included whenever they load a page). Features include a syntax highlighter, which uses css properties to mark highlighted entries (thereby allowing the user to specify a personal highlighting scheme), and a syntax completer which is preloaded with many common property and selector names, as well as handful of SWC-specific selectors. It updates dynamically as you type!

Project Name Rules Page Redesign, Restructure and Renewal Summary

29/06/06: Had a bit of time to work on this as the production rules were finishing up. I'm done with the coding side and the interface, the work now moves to rewriting and restructuring them. Kyle is forming a team to take on that work. Excepting any bugs or improvements, my work on this is done.

22/04/06: Work on hold until production is done.


Based on the initial menu redesign work of PtJedi.


  • Changes to the style of the category and section menu.

  • Coloured boxes for bringing attention to important things. Example may be a bit overwhelming because all the boxes are displayed.

  • Help tooltips on important terms (ie: ER, MNSF...).

  • Wikiesque structure provided by Clarr.

  • A Table of Contents for the longer rules pages.

  • (LATER) A changeLog for each rules page based off the CVS/SVN changeLog.

  • (LATER) Cache the pages instead of dynamically generating them.

  • Numerous improvements behind-the-scenes to the structure and nature of the rules pages.



The renewal portion is still rather sketchy. Plans include an across-the-board review of all the rules pages. Rules would be rewritten to reflect exactly what is programmed and written such as to be as easy to understand as possible. There may also be changes to how equations are handled.

Project Name Shields Summary

Year 7, Day 255 - Regional Shields are nearing completion. It?s possible to power up/down shield gens, checks to prevent movement when a shield is active are done and viewing shields when in the atmosphere is also up. Only lacking some tune ups from the rules side and update the code accordingly and some minor improvements on the performance and usability side.

Year 8, Day 212 - Finally more to report after much inactivity you can power shields from a shield generator, aborting powerup is an issue at the moment shutting down once up works.
